Johann Pieterse (CA (SA), M Compt)

Johann served as a partner with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, financial director of Pepkor and rose to prominence when he led the highly profiled turnaround of Teljoy and led the consequent merger of Teljoy, Vodac, and GSM Cellular into the Vodacom Service Provider Company.   He also led the turnaround of Naspers’s Van Schaik bookstores.  Johann holds several directorships and is chairman of Winegro Marketing.

Herman Marais ( B Comm LLB )

Herman Marais is a businessman with twenty years of experience in investment services, business performance improvement and the application of business solutions to development challenges. He is a former partner of Deloitte Consulting and a founding shareholder of SP Aktif. As Executive Director he is responsible for the management of Agri-Vie, a private equity fund investing in Sub-Saharan Africa. Agri-Vie is a joint initiative between SP Aktif and Sanlam Private Equity. He has served as director of several companies and has worked on mandates from a number of blue chip financial and commercial groups as well as development finance institutions in Southern Africa, including  Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), Venfin and the Development Banks of Southern African and Namibia.

Izak Strauss (B Acc (Hons) CA (SA))

Izak is an independent director of companies, consultant and transaction advisor.  He is a former partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and has operated an independent transaction and management services firm for a number of years.  In addition, he has held several executive and non-executive directorships with an emphasis on agri-business.  These include production companies in livestock, fruit-farming, wine production, property and retail.
