SP Aktif’s direct investment orientation and its active investment capabilities present a firm platform for managing private equity funds, either in the invividual investment space or on a fund of funds basis. SP Aktif is currently the lead fund manager for Agri-Vie, a R700m Sub-Sahara agribusiness investment fund in which a group of international investors are participating.

Information & Communications Technology

SP Aktif is at present invested in the ICT sector through Naxian Digital Management Systems. Naxian specializes in email archiving functionalities and related services. SP Aktif is monitoring further opportunities in this sector.

Global wine marketing & distribution

SP Aktif believes that the global wine sector is poised for renewed growth and profitability after a long downward cycle. Having an interest in the South African Matuba wine brand, SP Aktif is in ongoing discussions with South African and global players in the wine sector about the implementation of a consolidation and growth strategy.
